Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

These Terms of Service ("Terms"), together with our Privacy Policy, govern your use of the Keepr app. By using Keepr, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by them.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction) to use Keepr. By using the app, you represent that you meet this requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

3. Use of Service

You agree to use Keepr only for lawful purposes. You will not:

• Upload content that infringes others' rights or privacy
• Use the app for fraud, abuse, or illegal activity
• Attempt to circumvent usage limits, security, or access controls
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the app

You are responsible for all activity on your device. We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these Terms.

4. Free vs Pro Usage

• Free: Limited number of receipts per lifetime (shown in-app). Free users may watch rewarded ads to unlock additional upload slots. Some features (e.g., viewing original receipt images) may be Pro-only.
• Pro: Unlimited receipt uploads, no ads, and access to all features including priority processing and export.

We may change feature availability with reasonable notice. Current limits and features are displayed in the app.

5. Lifetime Upload Count

Free users have a lifetime upload limit. Once reached, you can watch a rewarded ad to add one more receipt or upgrade to Pro for unlimited uploads. The limit is tied to your device and cannot be reset. We may adjust limits in future app versions; changes will be communicated in-app.

6. Delete and Restore Rules

• Deleted receipts move to Recently Deleted for 30 days.
• You can restore from Recently Deleted anytime during that period.
• After 30 days, receipts are permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.

7. Subscriptions & Billing

Pro is a paid subscription billed through your Apple ID. Payment is charged at confirmation. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. Refunds are handled by Apple; we do not process refunds directly. Contact Apple Support for refund requests.

8. Disclaimers

Keepr is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not warrant that the app will be error-free or uninterrupted. OCR-extracted data (merchant names, dates, totals, items) may contain errors—always verify important details against your original receipt. Keepr does not provide legal, tax, or financial advice; use it as a personal tracking tool only.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
• Our total liability for any claims arising from your use of Keepr shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (or $50 if you are a free user).
• Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; where that applies, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Keepr and its operators from any claims, damages, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the app, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

11. Termination

You may stop using Keepr at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the app ceases. Provisions that by their nature should survive (e.g., disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification) will survive.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms. We will post revisions here and update the "Last updated" date. Material changes may be communicated via email or in-app notice. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms. If you do not agree, stop using the app and request data deletion per our Privacy Policy.

13. General

• Entire agreement: These Terms and the Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement between you and Keepr.
• Severability: If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
• Governing law: These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of laws. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction.
