Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect
We are transparent about what we collect:
- Receipt data: Images you upload; extracted text (merchant, date, total, items); and metadata we derive. Receipt images are stored on our servers to provide the service.
- Device & account data: Device identifiers, subscription status (Pro/Free), and usage-related data stored on your device and our servers.
- Usage data: App interactions, feature usage, and analytics events (e.g., uploads, views) to improve the service.
2. How We Use Data
We use your data only to:
- Provide receipt storage, OCR extraction, and return/warranty tracking
- Send local notifications for return and warranty deadlines
- Improve app performance and user experience
- Detect and prevent fraud or abuse
- Fulfill our obligations under these terms
We do not sell your personal data.
3. Third-Party Services
We use these third-party services. Each has its own privacy policy:
- Google AdMob: Displays ads (including rewarded ads for free users). AdMob may collect device identifiers, IP address, and usage data for ad delivery and measurement. You can limit ad tracking in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. See Google Privacy Policy.
- OCR / Receipt extraction: Receipt images are sent to our backend and may be processed using AI/ML services (e.g., OpenAI) to extract text and structure. We do not use these providers to train models on your receipts or for purposes unrelated to providing Keepr. Processing is performed under our data handling policies.
- Analytics: We may use analytics services to understand app usage. Data is typically aggregated and does not identify you personally. If we use identifiers, we do so to improve the product, not for advertising to you elsewhere.
4. Data Retention
- Active receipts: Stored until you delete them.
- Recently Deleted: Deleted receipts remain recoverable for 30 days, then are permanently removed from our systems.
- Account/usage data: Retained as long as needed to operate the service and comply with legal obligations.
5. Data Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data (encryption in transit, secure storage). No system is 100% secure; we will notify you of significant breaches where required by law.
6. Your Rights
- Delete receipts: Delete any receipt in the app. It moves to Recently Deleted for 30 days, then is permanently removed.
- Restore receipts: Within 30 days, restore from Settings → Recently Deleted.
- Request full data deletion: Email team@keeprrapp.com with "Data Deletion Request." We will process within 30 days and confirm when complete.
- Access/correction: Request a copy of your data or correction of errors via the same contact.
Users in certain regions (e.g., EU, UK, California) may have additional rights under local law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
7. Children’s Privacy
Keepr is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such data, contact us immediately and we will delete it.
8. International Data
Our servers may be located in the United States or other jurisdictions. By using Keepr, you consent to the transfer and processing of your data in those locations, which may have different privacy laws than your country.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy. We will post the revised policy here and update the "Last updated" date. Material changes may be communicated via email or in-app notice. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
